Agios Georgios Church

The church of Agios Gheorghios (St George) is located in the center of the village. It is a basilica, internally covered with stone slates (made of tuff). The church's roof is not covered with the usual tiles, but with a special slate stone from Karystos. Mechanical engineer Pavlos Kalantzopoulos of Athens was the designer and supervisor for the building of this church. The church was ready by 1967 and its official inauguration took place in 1985 by the Metropolitan Bishop of Corinth, Panteleimon. In 1974, Petros Kozanidis was trusted with the painting of the first byzantine style icons of the church.
