Neftina is a vast sandy beach, with turquoise waters and a chapel on the north side.
The cliffs are ideal for those who fish. Search for the creek that “cuts” the beach in the middle, to pour its clear blue waters into the Aegean sea.
Around Neftina beach grow “tzitzifies” (a kind of local tree) that give their own touch, but also offer cool moments under their shade from the hot summer sun.
It is nearby Kavireio, one of the most important archaeological sites of Lemnos island and the cave of Philoctetes.
You can reach Neftina from a dirt road that starts from Kontopouli village.
