Τhe Wax Museum is located in the central square of Zoniana village in Rethymno town.
The museum was created by Dionysios Potamianos. It includes 87 wax figures in natural size that represent life scenes from the history of Crete.
The museum is located in a specially designed area of 1000 sq.m. The exhibits are divided into themes depending on the historical period they represent.
Visitors can see the wax statues of famous personalities such as El. Venizelos, V. Kornaros, El Greco, Ν. Kazantzakis, N. Fokas, Daskalogiannis and many others whose memory is honered in Greece.
