A church dedicated to Prophet Elijah the Tishbite dominates on top of hill. This single-naved basilica was built in 1845. The iconostasis, the holy icons and a marvelous representation of the Descent from the Cross were created by Nestoras Varveris (1867-1954), who is the only painter (along with N. Gyzis) whose paintings are displayed in the Louvre.
