The monument of the Mikrasiaton Square represents the the Minor Asia Disaster. It was built in 2014 and has a length of five meters and four meters high.
The Monument was named in memory of the refugees from Asia Minor who settled in the city in 1922 and those who were martyred during the Asia Minor Disaster.
The choice of the square for the erection of the monument is symbolic as many refugees were staying in this area.
