Archaeological Collection of Gortyna

It is a small museum which is situated in the archaeological site of Gortys, one of the most important cities of the antiquity.

It hosts some of the finds of the archaeological sites, maybe not the most important of them, as the most important of them are in the archaeological museum of Heraklion but it’s worth a visit as it can be combined with a visit to the archaeological site of the most important Cretan city in the Roman times, which is like a large outdoor museum.
