The beach Skepsi is located in the southern part of Ikaria, beneath the street from Agios Kirikos to Xylosyrti.
It takes its name from the statue situated right beside the beach.
Designed by an Ikarian artist, it depicts a woman - mother sitting pensive with her hands on the cheeks and gazing at the sea and waiting to turn your child from the foreign lands. The thought is always in the Ikarians expatriated who live abroad.
Skepsi beach has rocks and some sand.
It is a long beach, but it is not organized, it has no umbrellas nor sun beds. However, there is a shower for the guests of the beach.
It is ideal for someone who wants to have easy and quick access from the center of Agios Kirikos
Access:
Access is easy on foot, by bicycle or with your own transport, as it is located beneath the main asphalt road, a short distance from the capital town of the island, where there are many shops, restaurants, cafes and accommodation.
