A significant monastic complex associated with many important families (like Kapodistrias). It has a monastery courtyard with a three-sided portico on the ground floor and a central well. The Church is very rich in iconography with works of great painters (Kantounis, Koutouzis), has an elaborated wooden iconostasis plated with gold , a variety of important 17th century icons -works of Tzanne, Poulakis and Klontzas -as well as precious relics. Above the main entrance rises the tower shaped bellfry that is covered by a dome, a work of 1864 .The tombs of Ioannis Kapodistrias and Fotos Tzavelas are also located here.
