Agios Gerasimos Birth House

1509: Agios Gerasimos Notaras is born in the Upper district of Trikala.

In the area, the chapel, in which the saint prayed and lived the ascetic life during his adolescence, survives.

Growing up, the saint aided the poor by offering them all his worldly goods.

His brother, Agios Makarios, was an Archbishop.
