tavrodromi is Greek for crossroads - and that's where you'll find this traditional, family-run, Greek taverna, among a grove of olive trees at the crossroads to Pelekas, Sinarades, Ermones and Corfu Town. In the summer dining is al-fresco under the trees. In the winter seating is inside by the log fire and often accompanied by live music.
The menu is a mix of meats cooked in the traditional way over a charcoal grill, and classic Corfiot dishes of the day such as Pastisada (chicken or beef in a rich red sauce) and Rabbit Stifado (a stew made with tomatoes and baby onions). There is also a full range of Greek starters and salads to choose from. Accompany your meal with local or bottled wine, beer, spirits or a soft drink. And make sure that you don't miss out on the delicious home-made pastries and desserts. Only fresh local ingredients are used in the kitchen and many of the vegetables are grown in the garden next to the taverna.
In the summer the taverna is open every day from 18.30. In the winter on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. It is two minutes drive from Pelekas, five minutes from Sinarades or Ermones, and 15 minutes from Corfu Town.
