Museum of Marine Life

The Museum of Marine Life is situated at Arapatzoglou street, at the center of Rethymno's old city. 

The visitors can find a significant number of representatives of marine flora and fauna, mainly mollusks, fish and sponges. There are also some fossils. The collections are among the most important of Rethymnon. The exhibition represents one of the most important collections molluscs, sponges, fish and various fossils in Rethymnon.

The Museum is housed in the recently restored old abbey, which is located in the old town.
