Villa Hiona is made of two 250 year- old stone houses that are joined together. They were the second houses built on the harbor and are in the elite location of the harbor called “Viglimia”. Looking at the Villa Hiona from the sea, the house on the left was the house the family lived in and the house on the right was a storage house for the sponges that Halki used to produce. Hiona was the name of the storage house, which is how the name of Villa Hiona came about.
The houses were renovated in 1990 into 5 independent studios.
