This cave is a natural site of unique beauty. Huffington Post included this chapel among the ten most beautiful cave churches around the world.
Agios Stefanos chapel is said to have been built by a fisherman named Stefanos, who had survived the attack of a giant octopus and in return to the divine intervention which saved him, he built this chapel on his own. The chapel is built on the entrance of a sea cave with sweet running water, among the steep rocks of the bay.

To reach the cave, you shall either follow the foot trail that leads to there or arrive by boat and then walk a few steps into the cave.
On the last Sunday of August, a religious festival in honor of St Stephen takes place in the cave.
