LIFTS
Voras – Kaimaktsalan ski resort has 2 baby – lifts, 2 surface lifts, 1 surface lift type T – bar for 2 persons and a double chair lift.
Meterizi: Meterizi is a one person surface lift with total length 450 meters. The height at the base of the lift is 2.030 meters, its top is at 2.120 meters and has total ability of 500 skiers climbing per hour.
Sarantovrisi 1: Sarantovrisi 1 is a double chair lift with total length 1.550 meters. The height at the base of the lift is 2.080 meters, its top is at 2.380 meters and has total ability of 1.300 visitors climbing per hour.
Sarantovrisi 2: Sarantovrisi 2 is a one person surface lift with total length 760 meters. The height at the base of the lift is 2.080 meters, its top is at 2.200 meters and has total ability of 700 skiers climbing per hour.
Kremasi: Kremasi is a double surface lift type T – bar with total length 850 meters. The height at the base of the lift is 2.230 meters , its top is at 2.470 meters and has total ability of 600 skiers climbing per hour.
PISTES
According to Federation International de Ski (FIS) and the corresponding Greek Ski Regulation, the classification of the slopes according to the degree of difficulty is done under general criterion of the topography of the pistes and the following data:
Blue slopes: These are easy slopes which have blue colored signage, don’t have inclination where the lengthwise and transversal part to exceed 25% except for short sections of open area.
Red slopess: They are slopes of medium difficulty which have red colored signage, don’t have inclination where the lengthwise and transversal part to exceed 40% except for short sections of open area.
Black slopes: They are slopes with great difficulty which have black colored signage.
There are also snow passages or paths where you can ski. These are not inclined more than 8% and have minimum width 6 meters. They don’t classify in difficulty rate, they are signaled with yellow color and usually join the lifts.
The slopes at Voras – Kaimaktsalan ski resort are:
Slope No 2: It is a slope with total length of about 2.220 meters which is blue (low difficulty) in the most of its part and accessible from two chair lift Sarantovrisi 1.
Slope No 3: It is a slope with total length of about 1.000 meters which is red (medium difficulty) and is accessible from two chair lift Sarantovrisi 1.
Slope No 4: It is a slope with total length of about 2.000 meters which is red (medium difficulty) and is accessible from two chair lift Sarantovrisi 1.
Slope No 5: It is a slope with total length of about 1.200 meters which is blue (low difficulty) and is accessible from lift Kremasi.
Slope No 6: It is a slope with total length of about 1.000 meters which is red (medium difficulty) and is accessible from lift Kremasi.
Slope No 7: It is a slope with total length of about 1.000 meters which is blue (low difficulty) and is accessible from lift Meterizi.
Slope No 8: It is a slope with total length of about 700 meters which is red (medium difficulty) and is accessible from lift Meterizi.
Slope No 9: It is a slope with total length of about 800 meters which is blue (low difficulty) and is accessible from lift Sarantovrisi 2.
Slope No 10: It is a slope with total length of about 900 meters which is blue (low difficulty) and is accessible from lift Sarantovrisi 2.
All the slopes of the ski resort are signaled with plastic poles for visitors’ safety.
