Many Praisians fought during the First World War and the Asia Minor expedition.
Many of those got injured but instead of returning home they willingly continued fighting in the war fronts. Their stories were heroic and dramatic.

Very important was also the participation of the Praisians during the World War II. They fought in the Albanian front, Rupel fortifications, War of Crete, Egypt and also during the national resistance.
Most distinct is the bravery of a woman who had the difficult task of the messenger for the men that had the radio in the Kypion cave. She was the only one who could reach there without being suspected. She was Ekaterini Pathiaki.
