The “Laundrette” at Kato Vrisi, just below the village, is a large water system built on the spot where the majority of the natural clear spring water exits the rocks, where the villagers used to wash their clothes.
The current structure was built approximately a century ago and according to tradition, your position at the trough denoted your position in the village, the nearer to the spring, the more important you were.
