The neo-classical Town Hall built in 1902 dominated the square. The Town Hall was impassively designed by the architect Hernest Chiller. Its façade is elaborated by elegant clay statues of Apollo and Hermes. On the west side of the building is a fragmentary female statue and votive relief decorated with six figures (Classic Times). The interior of the building is even more impressive with carved sculptures whereas the ceiling of the Town Hall’s conference room has been decorated with beautiful pictures.
