Agioi Anargiri is one of the eight churches that are considered to be monuments of particular architectural value and are protected by the Ministry of Culture.
It was built in the 17th Century and is found just opposite the Lower Gate of the Castle.
A one-aisled, flat-roofed basilica with a narthex, it boasts a beautiful wood-crafted iconostasis and icons of Cretan craftsmanship.
