The Taxiarches church (Archangels) is one of the eight churches that are considered to be monuments of particular architectural value and are protected by the Ministry of Culture.
It was built in the 17th Century and is located in the Southwest part of the Castle.
It is one-aisled with a dome and Icons of Cretan craftsmanship, as well as a magnificent iconostasis dating back to 1686.
