Falasarna beach is located in the wast coast of Crete, 15 klm from Kissamos and 59 klm from Chania town.
The beach is famous for its crystal clean blue waters and the white fine sand throughout is lenght.
Falassarna is now one of the most famous destinations in Crete, both for its beaches, and for reasons of ecological interest. Falassarna have joined the project Natura 2000, because of the variety of flora and fauna in the region, but also because of outstanding natural beauty.
The beach Falassarna awarded as the most beautiful beach in Crete and is always included in the top-10 best beaches in Europe.
In Falassarna, there are two big beaches, separated by a few sand dunes. The southern, is called Thick Sand, which is greater in length and wider. Further south lie two more beaches, a sandy beach with rocks on the bottom and the pebble beach near the small port.
Falsarna beach can be reached by car approaching the highway from Chania to Kissamos. Everyday there is a bus connection (KTEL) of the beach to Chania and Kastelli.
