A small Byzantine bath, with dimensions of 7.60x3.00m, was converted into a temple dedicated to Agios Vasilios (St. Basil).
The founding and functioning of the bath was obviously connected to the episcopal basilica of the adjacent settlement of Upper Episkopi.
Though the restored public bath does not possess the wealth of ceramic decoration of the other two baths in the area, those in Episkopi of Ierapetra and of Lower Episkopi, its construction seems to have taken place at about the same time as them.
